Fifth Annual St. Mary’s Research Celebration: Research Showcase

Creating a One-School Research Culture

The University Research Council, the Office of Sponsored Projects, Academic Research and Compliance, and the Office of Student Research and Inquiry will host the 2025 Research Showcase on Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10.

Research Showcase is a dynamic two-day event celebrating the scholarly and creative achievements of our undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty.

Wednesday, April 9, kicks off with a faculty and student networking event, followed by an alumni panel discussion and an engaging poster symposium featuring faculty and student research, and creative activities. Thursday, April 10, features concurrent oral presentations, where faculty and students share their interdisciplinary research. The day also includes a vibrant arts, music and theatre exhibition, culminating with an inspiring keynote address and an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions. As a reminder, this day is an Alternative Day of Learning and undergraduate classes will not convene as regularly scheduled.

We invite you to connect, learn and celebrate research that transcends disciplines and fosters a One-School Research Culture. Click the button above to view the detailed schedule of events on the St. Mary’s Univerity calendar.

The success of Research Showcase requires significant collaboration from our campus community. We are seeking faculty and staff volunteers to serve as judges and moderators throughout the event. Support is needed for either the morning or afternoon of Wednesday, April 9, or Thursday, April 10. Click the buttons above to learn more about each volunteer role and to sign up by Friday, April 4. Thank you for your continuous support in making this event a success!
