about

While on a solo cross country trek & crashing at an Air BnB in East LA on July 4th, songwriter Paul Howard awoke with the melody in his head & started pickin'on his guitar, when a small earthquake began to shake his bed. His first thought was, "is this some Exorcist shit?" then soon realized where he was. He was quite literally leaving for Phoenix the next day on his way back to Nashville when the song fleshed itself out. The recorded version has cruisin' country twang, & the star of the song is the pedal steel guitar played by Nashville mainstay Van Coffey. (George Jones, The Bellamy Brothers)

about

Rodeo Mouth Nashville, Tennessee

If Bob Dylan, Warren Zevon, and Roger Miller got into a back alley fist fight, and the collective pools of blood morphed into a being of its own, it might just be Rodeo Mouth. Eclectic alt-country folk rock n' rollers just doin' the damn thing.
