The ONWARD Project amplifies Native voices to inspire new understandings of history and place in the American Southwest. We tell the stories of the largest historic research program in the region and interrogate historic implications through art, technology and diverse perspectives.

This website is the culmination of artist Hans Baumann's study of the archives of the RBMVExpedition and his interactions with this data and the places it represents; an attempt to contextualize the legacy of the Expedition.
