I was near the end of my financial rope. I always wanted to refinance, but I didn't have the money for down payment and closing cost. Fellowship Home Loans got a new program that allowed me to refinance with zero ($0.00) money down and I didn't have to pay closing cost up front. This started in March 2020. I have gone to settlement and the process was very smooth. I got to keep the money that was in my escrow from the original mortgage company and Fellowship used there money to put that same amount back into my escrow account. Working with the loan officer, underwriter and all, they provide clear explanations of the terms and conditions of all of the paperwork and they were friendly, responsive and professional. If you do not have enough funds for a down payment or percentage towards closing, you should ask for grant assistance up front, and do not wait until the last minute like I did.
