Hope Florida - A Pathway to Potential

Spearheaded by First Lady Casey DeSantis and implemented by the Florida Department of Children and Families, Hope Florida utilizes ‘Hope Navigators’ to guide Floridians on an
individualized path to prosperity, self-sufficiency, and hope by focusing on community collaboration between the private sector, the faith-based community, nonprofits, and government entities to break down traditional community silos, to maximize resources and uncover opportunities.

A Pathway to Potential expands the Hope Florida initiative to include Hope Navigators within the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice who will assist Florida families in need by connecting them to local resources in their communities.

Who benefits from A Pathway to Potential? 

  • Youth involved with DJJ or who are transitioning out of DJJ care
  • Parents and families concerned with their child's behavior
  • Parents and families of children who have run away, are truant from school, or who are struggling academically

Services offered by Hope Navigators

  • Identification of goals and barriers
  • Referrals to local, community-based partners
  • One-on-one support to develop a plan to achieve ​self sufficiency
