Empower, the second-largest retirement services provider in the U.S., has acquired the full-service retirement business of Prudential.
For NC State employees enrolled in the 401(k) and 457 retirement plans, this acquisition means Empower is the new administrator of those plans. Before the acquisition, Prudential provided communication and recordkeeping services for the NC 401(k) and NC 457 plans.
