Jennifer began serving at Glenn Memorial in 2022 after eight years of ministry at Saint Mark UMC as minister of mission and outreach. Prior to that, Jennifer was a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries in various roles in Uganda and New York/Atlanta. Before answering the call to ministry and earning her M.Div. degree from Candler, Jennifer had a career in finance and accounting as a former CPA, with a degree in Business Administration from Auburn and a Master of Business Administration from Emory. Jennifer and her husband Bob spend much of their time together raising their elementary age son. In her free time, you will find her mostly outdoors and staying active, whether playing tennis, gardening, hiking, or walking the family dog, Lily. She appreciates good food and enjoys trying new recipes and interesting restaurants, and she’s a fan of Auburn football and Braves baseball.

Ben is in his second year as Glenn’s youth director but has been an active Glenn member for over 20 years. An Atlanta native and Glenn Youth alumnus, Ben graduated from Indiana University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and covered the NBA professionally before joining the Glenn staff in 2022. He’s also active in Glenn’s young adult and men’s groups, and he continues to write about basketball and play music in his free time.

Julia is originally from Jamaica and spent some years in New York where she earned an Associate degree in Accounting and a Bachelors’ degree in Business Management. She relocated to Georgia in 1992 and Atlanta has been her home since. Most of Julia's thirty-plus years of her career has been in Accounting. She has two children of which one gained his wings in 2017 after fighting Brain cancer and the other is a college graduate. Introducing our Glenn Recreation Basketball Coordinator, Jon Kissel! "To the Glenn Hoops basketball families & fans: I'll be working as the basketball coordinator this year in what will be my seventh season in the GlenNBA. I have met many of you, but for those unfamiliar, I was pulled into the league when I moved to Atlanta in 2016 by former Glenn pastor Blair Setnor and have been coaching at the elementary and middle school levels ever since. I'm a big fan of the community that's built up around the league, as it reminds me of Saturdays spent in pole barn basketball gyms back in my native Indiana. I'm honored and excited that I get to help make this great thing succeed, and in that vein, if you choose to participate again this year, please feel free to reach out if there's any way I can help make your experience smoother. Registration has opened for the new season, using the same system from last year (http://www.glennrecreation.org/). We are offering the usual divisions (Coed 1st-2nd grade, Boys 3rd-5th, Boys 6th-8th, and High School Boys) and there'll be a renewed push to have Girls divisions at 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and High School for the first time since the 2019-2020 season. Registration will be open until October 13th, with evaluations and drafts to follow on October 14th. If you're interested in coaching or assistant coaching at any level, please sign up through the website. The program lives and dies on its volunteers and their considerable generosity with their time. Additionally, for those with high-school aged kids, we're always looking for scorekeepers once the games start. Scorekeepers are paid $10 a game. High schoolers are also welcome and encouraged to assistant coach, with an adult present as head coach, at the elementary and coed levels. Käthe Wright Kaufman serves as the Associate Director of Music and Worship Arts at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, where she serves as principal keyboardist and accompanist for services, oversees maintenance of the 1982 Casavant Frères organ, directs the Glenn Youth Choir, and aids the Director of Music and Worship Arts in shaping and supporting a vibrant program. Previously, Käthe served as Organ Scholar at Peterborough Cathedral in the UK, where she assisted in rehearsing and training the choristers and played for three to four services a week. Käthe was launched into church music when she joined the choir of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Evanston, Illinois at age eight under the direction of Richard Webster. Her growing love of the Anglican choral tradition inspired her to begin her organ studies in high school with James Brown. For both undergraduate and graduate study, she attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where she studied organ, harpsichord, and improvisation with William Porter and Edoardo Bellotti, as well as organ with David Higgs for her master’s degree. During her undergraduate studies at Eastman, Käthe worked at Christ Church (Rochester) and as the organ scholar at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Buffalo, and during her MMus she worked as Organ Scholar at St. Paul’s, Rochester. This exposure to different styles and denominations of worship cemented in her the desire to work as a full-time church musician. Following the completion of her Bachelor of Music degree magna cum laude from Eastman in 2016, Käthe spent a gap year in the UK, where she served as organ scholar at Truro Cathedral, playing two to three services a week, maintaining the music library, and training the probationers every weekday morning. Käthe most enjoys accompanying choirs and passing on her love of choral and organ repertoire to her choristers and congregation. Käthe has performed in venues such as St. Thomas Church, NYC; Grace Cathedral, San Francisco; Clare College Chapel, Cambridge; St. Edmundsbury Cathedral; and St. Michael’s Cornhill, London. Katie Woolf joined the music staff at Glenn UMC in Fall 2019 as Covenant Choir Director and Staff Singer. She also conducts choruses at Paideia School and the Atlanta Young Singers. Prior to teaching at Paideia, Katie conducted choirs and taught voice at the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts and Harvard University. An Atlanta native, Katie earned degrees in voice and conducting from Furman University, Boston University, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She currently lives in Druid Hills with her dog Rosie and, in her spare time, enjoys shooting photos, doing yoga, and traveling.

Madelyn is a third year Master of Divinity student at Candler School of Theology and is currently serving as the Youth Ministry Intern at Glenn Memorial UMC. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in May 2020, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Madelyn was born in Huntsville, Alabama and will soon begin the process to become a certified candidate for ordination on the elder track in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. Eventually, Madelyn hopes to serve as a pastor in a church, but plans to explore an interest in hospital chaplaincy immediately following her time at Candler.

Britton is a third year Masters of Divinity student at Candler School of Theology. Originally from Orlando, he has previously served as both a Children’s Director and a Pastoral Intern. Outside of school and work, Britton loves all sports, including the Seminoles, Magic, and Steelers. Britton is interested in all things sports, ministry, and social justice.

Britt is a first year Masters of Divinity student at Candler School of Theology and is currently serving as Glenn's Teaching Parish Clergy Intern. She graduated from Central Methodist University in May 2023 with a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and Church Leadership & Comparative Religion and Philosophy with honors. Her honors thesis in undergraduate was "Epistemology and the Wesleyan Quadrilateral". She's more than happy to give you a copy! Britt was born in Park Hills, MO and calls that her hometown despite having to move around some in her early years since she is a pastor's kid. She is in the process of becoming an ordained elder in the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church. She completed the Missouri Conference's Local Pastor Licensing School also in May 2023. Britt has spent much of her life since high school working in a few different churches doing everything from A/V technology to church administrative work to being an interim director of ministries. Her calling is to local church as a pastor but also sees herself having a continuing relationship with higher education institutions. She sees the need for more pastors that are as concerned with practical ministry as they are with theological academia and has discerned that is her role to fill. After completing her Masters of Divinity from Candler, she is looking into a place to receive a Doctorate of Theology.
