The 24-year-old Murfreesboro, Tennessee native and Christian music artist, who was a Top 10 finalist on the FOX show's 11th season in 2012, wed girlfriend Annie Coggeshall in Nashville on Friday. The bridge wore a strapless chiffon Vera Wang wedding gown with a ruffled skirt.
Dixon posted on his Instagram page on Saturday a sweet wedding photo of the two.
"Married my best friend last night," he wrote. "I love you @anniecog What a great night with family and friends!"
Dixon's sister Schyler also posted photos, as well as a video from the wedding on her own Instagram page.
Dixon expressed his excitement about the wedding on Twitter moments before walking down the aisle.
"Sitting in the grooms room getting ready for one of the biggest and best decisions of my life," he wrote. "Love you @AnnieCog."
"You guys. I'm getting married in 2 hours!!!!!!!!!" he said, later tweeting, "ONE HOUR!!!!!!"
Dixon and Coggeshall, 27, got engaged in September. He proposed to her at Walt Disney World in Florida with a cushion cut halo engagement ring.
"I was so shocked," Coggeshall said on Fox & Friends in November. "I was really excited though."
"I took her to the heart of Disney," Dixon said. "I might have borrowed Cinderella's slipper."
