The UC San Diego Center for AIDS Research Transgender/Nonbinary Community Advisory Board (TCAB) is established to improve and sustain the health and well-being of the transgender and nonbinary community. The TCAB helps to build bridges between the transgender and nonbinary community and key health initiatives that benefit the community through fostering inclusion in health research, conducting community events, and increasing community education and advocacy.

**NEW** Best Practices Report for Identifying and Including Transgender and Nonbinary Participants in Research

This report has been developed by members of the TCAB in conjunction with members of the transgender and nonbinary community. The purpose of this report is to present best practices for inclusion of transgender and non-binary individuals in research, provide recommendations on how to address and record participant gender identity information, and develop pathways for implementation in current practice
