Kristin Fry (www.kristinfry.com) once filmed the pilot for a dating reality show and got 8 weeks in the process before the show broke up with her and all the other contestants. But she learned that trying to go on real dates with 5 cameras in her face is no joke! She's decided to stick to the more incognito approach in the future.

Kristin has never met a cup of coffee she hasn't liked and has an unfortunate (or fortunate, you decide) habit of laughing loud at all the wrong times.

Although she is a California native, she currently makes her home in Atlanta, GA and cannot imagine moving back West. The South has taught her so much about sweet tea, Chick-fil-A, and let's not forget –humidity.

Kristin has a soft spot for 20- and 30-somethings, hoping to be a voice that instills in them a confidence in who they've been created to be.

She is a contributing writer to several leadership online publications and has written leadership development resources for North Point Ministries, The reThink Group, and Church.org. She has been regularly hosting a singles environment reaching 2000 single men and women weekly at North Point Ministries for the past five years. She loves living an active lifestyle, including downhill skiing, Cross Fit, and the Half Ironman.

Since I'm out of the dating scene, I purchased this book with the intent of gifting it to some young single gals that I know.
Although "Beyond the Swipe" seems to be targeted for the 18-40-year-old single females, after reading it, I found that this book can also be very helpful for all ages of single women, including those venturing back out into the dating world after a divorce or being widowed.
Kristin's writing style is fun and unique and I found this book to have very helpful and practical advice for all single women regardless of age.
This is a must-read with a refreshing and knowledgeable take on the dating dynamics of today, supplying the tools of confidence and empowerment. I wish a book like this had been available during my dating years.
I highly, highly recommend it.

Kristin gives a lot of practical advice to women who are navigating the online dating scene or who are considering it, but are uncertain. Kristin gets that in our day and age online dating and dating apps are increasingly the norm. While she approaches the topic from a Biblical perspective, she doesn't bash it and in fact, encourages it! She gives advice for how to navigate the online scene in a way that is honoring to God and respectful of yourself. She doesn't simply give a list of dos and don'ts; every piece of advice she gives she's first learned for herself and put into practice. I found Kristin's writing fun and engaging and easy to read. I would highly recommend this book for any woman who is single or dating and wants to approach online dating differently.

After reading the book I feel more empowered and confident to make decisions that will result in a lasting relationship that begins online. Online dating isn't as simple as just logging on and swiping - it takes strategy and confidence to know how to choose appropriate matches and treat all matches with the respect that you, yourself ultimately deserve. For a seasoned online dater like myself, some of this is common sense but overall I would highly recommend this book to both those who are new to online dating and those who are pros. I sincerely trust Kristin's advice and I am thankful for the knowldge this book has provided me.

With this book, it felt as though every other page I was saying to myself, "Ugh, seriously" or "Sameeee!" Dating online or through apps is a concept that almost everyone partakes in but NO ONE talks about, and if you meet someone great through them you feel as though you need to make up a cover story. Kristin is candid and relatable with her experiences, pros/cons and truth bombs! This book gave me such a confidence boost and relatable tips, to use whatever form of dating I wanted to, in a way that was best for me!
