DivorceSecure startup streamlines divorce process

The process of going through a divorce is typically described as difficult, often painful, and filled with paperwork. However, Hirsch Serman and Noam Davidovics, CEO/Co-Founder and CTO/Co-Founder of DivorceSecure respectively, have launched a Turbo-Tax based program to help simplify the process. DivorceSecure is designed for use by divorce attorneys and their clients. The overall result is increased efficiency for attorneys and a clear, automated outline to help guide the clients through the process.

"DivorceSecure is a workflow and collaboration wizard for divorce attorneys to automate and streamline the intake process, create a negotiation strategy based on the client’s personal preferences to keep more of what they want, while increasing the capacity to serve more clients with superior customer service," explained Serman.

Starting with the intake of information, DivorceSecure is purported to reduce paperwork by streamlining the process. Based on clients’ responses, the attorneys can more easily create a negotiation strategy “based on personal preferences enabling the client to get more of what they want to keep.”

“I have been a client advocate and have been practicing divorce law for about a decade and I have always been amazed that the divorce process is essentially the same as it was in the 1960s,” said Sonia Queralt, Founder of Divorceify in Boston and a DivorceSecure client, “especially with technology permeating every aspect of our lives. This solution is long overdue.”

For clients, it eases some of the stress associated with divorce. For attorneys, the program allows them to be more productive due to increased efficiency. Ultimately, that can translate in the an increased capacity to serve more clients, while maintaining their standards of quality client service.

Serman and Davidovics have launched their program with four attorneys and with letters of intent from an additional 12 attorneys representing around 750 clients annualized. They hope to reach 3,000 annualized clients by the end of 2015.  And as this program gains traction, they intend to roll out their estate planning module, which will offer similar benefits to both clients and attorneys.
