Pride Awards 2023

Thursday, March 30, 2023 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

The first Pride Awards celebration was held on March 2, 1992 to commemorate the protest and march on campus that began Emory's institutional commitment towards access and equity for LGBTQ+ people. Since that time, Emory University has become one of the leaders in the country for LGBTQ+ access and inclusion.

This year's Pride Awards will take place Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Miller Ward Alumni House. The ceremony will honor individuals and groups within the Emory community for their exceptional contributions to the LGBTQ+ community. Varying year to year, these awards showcase this great work, celebrate the steps toward LGBTQ+ equality, and highlight graduating LGBTQ+ students.

2023 Graduates**: Join us to celebrate your achievements as graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally students on campus. The 2023 Lavender Graduation will take place on March 30th at the Pride Awards. You will receive a lavender diploma, rainbow cords, and gifts from the Emory Alumni Association and the Office of LGBT Life.

**Graduates are also invited to a pre-Pride Awards reception for graduating students happening at 6pm. Additionally, Lavender Graduates can opt into being featured on the Office of LGBT Life social media accounts.

Pre-registration required.

The deadline to register for the Lavender Graduation is Friday, March 3
