Screening of "The Haunting" (1963)

OPEN TO PUBLIC | Queer Paranormal presents a range of artistic practices “haunted” by historical, political and sexual difference. Jackson's novel and this iconic black-and-white film version are jumping-off points for the exhibition, which identifies queerness in themes, including the uncanny, the stranger, and the haunted house as undiscovered country and objects of desire. Selected by Martin Scorsese as his number one scariest movie of all time, The Haunting was directed by Robert Wise and stars Julie Harris, Claire Bloom and Russ Tamblyn.
