But – first and foremost, just come listen for as long or as little as you desire.

In the spirit of connecting as a community, please be aware that a live online concert, streamed from an artist’s home, is a new adventure. It doesn’t matter if you are in LA or rural Vermont, COVID is rocking the internet grid and bandwidth issues may arise. We appreciate your patience, and hope you enjoy the concert!

ABOUT CHRISTINE MALCOLM AND RUDY DAUTH

Vermont musicians Christine Malcolm and Rudy Dauth have been playing together since 2013 after meeting at an open mic in Jeffersonville.  Christine, a songwriter, who was working on her first album-  Crickets, Coyotes and the Big Yellow Moon (2015 Tammie Award for Best Country album) contacted Rudy to play in a newly forming trio, the now defunct Bliss Hill.  He ended up working with her in the studio extensively and that collaboration led to years of consistent performing both as a duo and with the Christine Malcolm Band.

Rudy is a 30 plus year veteran of the VT music scene and his band history includes the Gordon Stone Trio, the Pulse Prophets, the Woe Doggies and currently the Chad Hollister Band.  His playing style is polished and versatile and demonstrates distinct influences from players like Jorma, Greg Allman, Adrian Belew and Frank Zappa.  He might best be described as an Americana Jam Band strings player, always tasteful and always creative.

Christine, who just released her second album, I Like You!, continues in pursuit of a well written song.  Her writing is at once deeply personal and broadly relatable.  Songs are filled with dirt roads and family and love and home.  Maybe she sounds like Emmylou Harris. Maybe she sounds like Natalie Merchant.  Hard to say.  But she always strives for simple and honest.
