Pigeon Forge hosts Professional Development Conference

Public procurement officials can expand their expertise and develop new skills in the field of public purchasing at the eighth annual fall Professional Development Conference on Wednesday through Friday at the Music Road Hotel in Pigeon Forge. In addition to the conference, the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, or NIGP, will hold a class titled, “The Principles and Techniques of Problem Solving” on Wednesday. For more information or to register for the conference, visit www.etpanews.org.

To celebrate the completion of an expansion project at LaFollette Health & Rehabilitation Center, Tennova Healthcare invites community members to meet the providers and tour the nursing and rehabilitation facility from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday.

The Infill Housing Review Committee will hold a public meeting Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Metropolitan Planning Commission large conference room.

The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will host a business sales strategies workshop presented by Sandler Training, Herzog & Associates on Nov. 2, 8:30-10:30 a.m. The workshop will address questions pertaining to sales. The workshop costs $25 for chamber members, $35 for nonmembers.
