  • Thursday, September 8, 2016

The Small Business Committee of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce will continue its series of “survival” programs for small businesses on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The “How to Survive . . . A Business Slowdown” program will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Chamber’s Conference Center. This dinner program will feature a meal followed by a presentation and question-and-answer session on this topic of interest to small business owners. The program will conclude by 6:30 p.m.

The September program will focus on things to consider “before” and “while in the midst” of a slow business period and how to prepare your business to avoid a loss through marketing efforts.

"Speaker Brent Templeton will take you through different scenarios of where business slowdowns have affected large communities and businesses alike, as well as the steps they took to overcome these obstacles. Learn helpful tips on what you can do to prepare and manage your way through this time and how you can grow your businesses foundation for a stronger base.

"Templeton is president of Templeton Design Group. He has been providing visual communications and building sustainable marketplace brand recognition for regional, national and international clients for more than 30 years. He has received national and regional recognition for his work. Although he has worked and provided consultation for large companies, he enjoys working with the tourism industry and small to midsized companies most," officials said.

The cost for the “survival” presentation, which includes dinner, is $20 for Chamber members. Register by noon on Friday, Sept. 16, by visiting the Chamber’s community calendar at www.clevelandchamber.com or by calling 423-472-6587.
