interested in checking multiple gifts off your list in one outing? visit any one of these portland holiday markets happening this weekend (Dec 2-3) and next (Dec 9-10).

Give Good Gift (12/2 & 12/3) is a hand-selected group of local retailers and makers selling all gift-able things like jewelry, clothing, artisan foods, and outdoor gear. Located at Union Pine and free to the public!

Baerlic Brewing Holiday Woodworker Market on Saturday 12/2 at Baerlic Brewing, is a celebration of all things inspired, made and evolving from nature's most honest material: wood. Jewelry, furniture, syrup, aged cheese, and wood-fired pizza to name a few! While you shop, you can taste beers from Baerlic's unique and flavorful Woodworker series of barrel-aged beers.

PDX Urban Wineries "There's Noel in Wine", on Sunday 12/3, is an opportunity to taste wines from Portland's 16 urban winemakers and buy bottles for holiday parties or presents while contributing to the Oregon Food Bank. Discounts on 6 and 12 bottle purchases. Located at Hip Chicks Do Wine from 6-9 pm, tickets are available here.

Crafty Wonderland is a hand-made extravaganza with artists and makers from around the country. You will find luscious leather bags, letterpress cards, games, jewelry, ceramics, and all sorts of knitted things. Located at the Oregon Convention Center on 12/9 & 12/10 and free to the public! If you're strictly interested in  Portland artists, visit Crafty Wonderland's permanent retail location downtown.

Portland Bazaar is where you go to feel like you are shopping and at a party. Food and drink are available from local purveyors and restaurants so you can spoil yourself a bit while picking out gifts to spoil others. Hosted at The North Warehouse on 12/9 & 12/10 and free to the public! You can pay $15 for early access on Friday evening (12/8).


The best shops in Pdx to get all the good stuff

Not interested in large holiday shopping events? No problem. We know a few choice retailers and artists doing incredible work on their own who would love to sell to you directly!

Cacao: for all your chocolate needs and desires. Be sure to get a hot chocolate for yourself while you browse among the bars and other treats.

Boys Fort: this is the spot to visit for unique gifts made by regional artists. You can also pick up a sweet plant or beautiful bouquet of flowers from colocated Solabee Flowers & Botanicals.

Spooltown: the women behind this small-run sewing factory in Portland believe in visible, ethical, American manufacturing; and they make gorgeous bags and snappy accessories.

Tender Loving Empire: started from an idealistic dream of one couple to show the world their friends' art and music. In all of their four locations (one of which is handily at the airport!), you'll find art, music, apparel, jewelry, home goods, stationery, and edible gifts.

Extracto Coffee: keeps it super simple, roasting great beans and pulling super tight shots. Who doesn't know someone who would love to get a pound of delicious coffee beans for the holidays?

Artist Lubosh Cech: is a Portland artist working with sacred imagery from around the world to produce incredible photos and pieces of artwork. You can purchase greeting cards on his site or schedule an appointment to view his work.

Seastar Bakery Bread CSA: Give someone a four-week subscription, and they can pick up a different loaf each week. Symphony Sounds of Home Series: The Oregon Symphony’s groundbreaking Sounds of Home series pairs exhilarating repertoire with stunning visual displays, from video installations to world premiere theater, to explore timely issues in the Portland community and beyond. Tickets are still available for the January and May performances.

Wildcraft Studio workshops: Is there someone in your life who wants to learn about natural plant dyes, carving wooden spoons, or harvesting seaweed? These are just a handful of the workshops on offer from this fantastic local studio. They also sell amazing prints by local artists working in the studio.
