Duke Sets ACC Record with 615 Honor Roll Selections

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke University collected a league-record 615 student-athletes on the 65th annual ACC Honor Roll released Tuesday by the league office. Duke has now paced the conference in ACC Honor Roll selections in 33 of the past 34 years.
 
The ACC Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. The 5,791 recognized this year bettered the previous league mark of 5,611 set in 2019-20.
 
Duke led all schools with a record 615 student-athletes recognized, and Notre Dame placed 593 on the list. Virginia saw 493 student-athletes achieve Honor Roll status, followed by North Carolina with 463, Boston College with 451 and NC State with 411.
 
Nine student-athletes made the ACC Honor Roll for the sixth time, led by Turner Uppgren (men's lacrosse). Duke also boasted 14 five-time selections to lead all schools, including Brittany Aveni (track & field), Meible Chi (women's tennis), Steven DiLisio (men's golf), Jack Doran (men's soccer), Grace Garverick (rowing), Mia Gyau (women's soccer), Brooke Heinsohn (women's soccer), Callie Humphrey (women's lacrosse), Terry Lindsay (men's lacrosse), Sean Lowrie (men's lacrosse), Joey Manown (men's lacrosse), Erikson Nichols (baseball), Sean Rafique (track & field) and Kiernan Spencer (rowing).
