The Mind Body Wellness Program at UTHSC continues with a Culinary Medicine series to help us take better care of our bodies through a healthier diet.

 Join Dr. Susan Warner and Nancy Kistler for a 3 Part Wellness Series and Introduction to
 Whole Food Plant Forward Style of Eating with Mediterranean Diet Principles and How to Get More Plants in Your Diet!

The Mediterranean Diet pattern has been shown by multiple studies to be a healthful, easy to follow, and delicious diet for most Americans. Participants will be introduced to the importance of fats, protein, and carbohydrates. Culinary skills to be demonstrated include basic knife skills, easy and useful culinary techniques, and simple recipes for incorporating more plants into your diet.

Series Includes:

Salads: April 20th 11-12 (salad will be served)

Smoothies: June 21st 12-1 (samples provided)

Soup: October 11th 11-12 (samples provided)
