Nominations are being welcomed for the 2020/2021 BTU Election Committee!
Any BTU or RTC member wishing to serve on the Election Committee must submit a written statement of interest to Jessica Tang, President of the BTU by April 25.  The President will submit names to the Executive Board of all such members in good standing.  No candidate for any office or position on the E Board is eligible to serve on this committee.  Duties of the Committee are governed by the By-Laws of the BTU (pages B-3 – B-5) of red contract book.

At meetings (monthly held 5-7pm) members select a vendor to administer the election, determine election procedures and schedule, answer questions from BTU/RTC members and enjoy dinner provided.

Some responsibilities include:

Distributing and collecting nomination papers
Verifying signatures
Communicating with candidates and members
Providing direction to Vendor
Monitoring in person voting and reporting results

This is a great opportunity for BTU and RTC members to contribute to the functioning of our union and ensure the integrity of the election process. It is a fun and helpful way to give back to our union!
