Mission Statement

At Parkside Community School, our mission is for each child to become an independent, self-reliant person, aware of the interrelated nature of all life, with the skills necessary to achieve their own goals and make a positive contribution to society. In order to realize this mission, we base our curriculum and culture on the developmental philosophy and educational methods of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Needs Statement

Community is our middle name at Parkside, and we are dedicated to learning, working, and growing together, within and without our gates, every day. Now celebrating our 34th school year, we are grateful for every Parksider, past and present, who has been part of the journey that brought us here.

In order to help us continue to welcome and serve more children and families for the next 34 years and beyond, we hope current and former families and all friends of Parkside will consider a gift to Parkside during Giving Tuesday 2024 and Amplify Austin 2025. Your tax-deductible donation to our annual fund will benefit our students, our staff, and our campus now and in the future. With heads up and hearts open, we will carry on the legacy Joe and Claire Bruno created in 1991, giving thanks for Parkside and all of you every step of the way.
