Dozens of parents gathered at the Statehouse Wednesday to discuss gun safety with legislatures.

The grass roots group "Moms Demand Action" handed out free gun locks and talked to parents about gun safety. The group says they are pro-Second Amendment, but against conceal and carry on college campuses. The group is also against an amendment introduced this year that would lower the age of conceal and carry in Kansas from 21 to 18.

The group says the two amendments go hand-in-hand.

"We view that as a dangerous amendment that would expand the number of people that would be able to carry guns on campus," said Jo Ellahoye, a volunteer chapter leader.

The group was founded in response to the Sandy Hook shooting that killed 20 elementary school students, as well as six teachers and the gunman.
