With all that’s going on in the world, it’s tempting to put off planning for life after high school. But it’s important to take time to think about your future. Planning ahead increases options and reduces stress.

Check out these resources to stay on track with college and career planning:

Use the High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) as a guide to connect your education to the future you want. The HSBP helps students develop a flexible, personalized pathway based on educational goals and career interests.
Spend some time with the 12th Year Campaign Junior/Senior Student Workbook, which includes information and worksheets to help with planning and applying.
Do virtual campus visits to check out colleges from the comfort of home.
Access free college planning resources on the GEAR UP website.

The College Knowledge Book is a comprehensive college and career planning resource developed with student input. Schools and advocates can access individual handouts on specific topics or download sets of handouts grouped by theme or grade level.

Topics include college applications, financial aid, apprenticeship opportunities, and more. All handouts are available in English, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
