Simpson College has hired Sam Schmitz as the head strength and conditioning coach for all athletic programs. Schmitz spent time at NCAA Division I Austin Peay State University working with the football, women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s tennis programs, as well as interned for the University of Iowa Football Team. Schmitz earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Central College in 2017 and his master’s degree in kinesiology from Northern Iowa in 2018. Schmitz begins at Simpson on August 2nd.
