Registration Now Open for Outdoor Recreation Space
LMU student registration for designated time blocks to use campus outdoor recreation space beginning Monday, March 8, is now open. Please note, as part of the university’s phased campus reopening in alignment with L.A. County Public Health guidelines, outdoor recreation space has limited capacity and is by appointment only. Individual recreation is available between the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Saturday, and includes the use of Drollinger Field, a walk/run path on campus, and the tennis courts. Burns Recreation Center, including the pool, and outdoor basketball courts remain closed at this time. Reservations are available for students only. Register here.
At this time, reservations are limited to five per activity and must be made three days in advance. It is not necessary to make all reservations at the same time. Additional reservations may be made until you have made five reservations total for that activity.
Any student registering to use the outdoor recreation space must agree to abide by all points outlined in the Student Attestation.
Please remember, students must also submit a Lion Health Check the morning of their appointment and have flu shot documentation on file with Student Health Services, prior to arriving on campus. Flu shot documentation can be submitted via the Immunization Entry tab at myhealth.lmu.edu. Education Sector COVID-19 Vaccine Availability
Los Angeles county is now vaccinating phase 1B. Faculty, staff, and contract employees are encouraged to visit the County’s Vaccine Appointment website to make a vaccination appointment as soon as possible. Note that students are not included in Phase 1B unless they meet special qualifications for employment or health criteria confirmed by a physician.
LMU has partnered with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to help K-12 Catholic school teachers and staff fast-track their return to the classroom. On Monday, the vaccination clinic expects to begin administering a limited number of Moderna vaccinations specifically earmarked for these groups. LMU hopes to open the vaccination clinic to faculty and staff once the county confirms vaccination supplies are en route.
