Walsh's Mayci Sales named U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Player of the Week

Walsh University's Mayci Sales was recently named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Women's Division II National Player of the Week.

Sales averaged 29 points, 13 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in wins over Ursuline and Ohio Valley at home last week.

Sales is currently eighth in program history with 1,324 total points. She leads the G-MAC in rebounds (11.2 per game) and blocked shots (1.9 per game). Nationally, Sales is 14th in rebounding and 28th in scoring (20.2 points per game) in Division II.

This is the first time Sales has earned a National Player of the Week honor.
