The Vanderbilt University COVID-19 testing center at the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center will close operations for the summer, beginning May 16. Because of the reduced population and continued low positivity rates on campus, the asymptomatic testing program is also suspended. The testing center will remain open through Thursday of this week with normal hours: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
Symptomatic testing for the Vanderbilt community is still available at Student Health, Occupational Health and VUMC.
- Student Health is open Mondays–Fridays, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. for students.
- Occupational Health Express Care is open Mondays–Fridays, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. for Vanderbilt University faculty, staff or postdocs. The location is in Suite 112 on the first floor of the Medical Arts Building. Work-related travel testing is available for employees at OHC. Contact OHC for more information.
- Vanderbilt Health Walk-In Clinics and Vanderbilt Health Clinics at Walgreens offer COVID-19 testing.

In addition, individuals who need tests for personal travel or who would like to seek testing options outside of Vanderbilt have the following options:
- Metro-Nashville testing locations
- Additional testing sites in Tennessee and Kentucky
Free rapid antigen at-home kits are available for the Vanderbilt community, which includes students, faculty, staff and postdocs, for pickup at Sarratt 310 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. These tests are available for those who are close contacts or who would like to periodically test asymptomatically.
Individuals who receive a positive test result should continue to submit their information to the COVID-19 command center using this web form.
Testing protocols will continue to be evaluated based on trends in positivity rates and case counts, and they are subject to change.
