Longtime director/coordinator of the SBCC Math Lab, Barbara Dunaway, passed away on June 3, 2023.
Here's a remembrance by her former SBCC colleague, math teacher Ignacio Alarcon: "Barbara was a long-time director of the math lab at SBCC, which includes the math computer lab and the math tutorial lab. Barbara had the responsibility of recruiting, training and scheduling of tutors. During Barbara’s time, the math lab would offer tutoring for all SBCC math classes, from basic mathematics to calculus and differential equations. Barbara expertly led the math lab, and built up an environment that is welcoming and effective for students to get assistance in their work on math classes at SBCC."
