A former professor in the SBCC's School of Modern Languages, Dr. Ana Maria Ygualt passed away in Santa Barbara on June 15, 2023. Ana Maria taught Spanish and Portuguese language and literature at SBCC, as well as at UC Santa Barbara and UC Santa Cruz. She retired from SBCC in 2013.
