Lower Mount Bethel Township The Lower Mount Bethel Township Recreation Board meets on the first Wednesday of the month starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Centerfield Building located at 6984 S. Delaware Drive. All interested parties may attend.

Lower Mount Bethel Township Parks

The Bryan Kiefer Memorial Park
This 2.7 acre park was donated by the Kiefer family to the Township as part of the Kiefer Estates subdivision. The park is located off of Delhaven Road and is primarily used for soccer and baseball. In 2002, the Township renamed the park in memory of Bryan Kiefer.

The Bryan Kiefer Ball Field may be rented at a cost of $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents.
The pavilion may be rented for $50 for residents and $100 for non-residents.

Centerfield School
The Centerfield Building was originally a school for the children of Lower Mount Bethel Township. The building was donated by the Easton School District to the Township to be used for recreational purposes. Until 2002, the building was also the home of the municipal office. The building is still used for Township meetings as well as basketball practice. The property also hosts an outdoor basketball court, tennis courts, playground, pavilion, and a bocce ball court.

The pavilion may be rented at a cost of $50 for residents and $100 for non-residents.
The gym may be reserved at a cost of $20 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
The upstairs meeting rooms may be rented at a cost of $40 for residents and $60 for non-residents.

The lower level, with a completely renovated commercial kitchen, may be reserved based on the below fee schedule. There is a $300 refundable security deposit for this rental. The deposit will be refunding upon inspection by a municipal official. No alcohol is permitted on the premises.

Riverton Ball Fields
The fields are located at 7701 Martins Creek-Belvidere Highway and are mainly used for baseball and softball games. The fields are situated on a 25-acre parcel, which was donated to the Township by PPL.

The Riverton Fields may be rented at a cost of $40 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
The Riverton pavilion may be rented at a cost of $50 for residents and $100 for non-residents.


Jerry Brunetti Environmental Welcome Center
The Welcome Center is located at the Riverton Ball Fields at 7701 Martins Creek-Belvidere Highway. The visitor's center was constructed as part of the $1.3 million DRJTBC grant received by Lower Mount Bethel Township. This park includes the 5-mile John M. Mauser Nature Education Trail System (formerly known as the Tekening Hiking Trails) with approximately 1.3 miles of frontage along the Delaware River.

The Meadows at Martins Creek
This township park is located in Lower Mount Bethel (LMBT) and Washington Townships along S. Main Street and Nagy’s Hill Road in Northampton County. Scenic Martins Creek, which is designated a Class A Wild Trout Stream and a High Quality-Cold Water Fishery (HQ-CWF), winds for about eight-tenths of a mile through the park. The park is available for passive recreation such as hiking, walking, fishing, bird watching and picnicking.

The LMBT Recreation, Park and Open Space Plan is an in-depth study that provides a framework to retain and enhance the quality of life in the Township through parks and recreation and preservation of the Township's natural features.
