Highlights of activities this semester in the College of Leadership & Public Service include:
Fred Gray Lectureship: Talking Politics, Keeping Faith. April 1.
In today's polarized world, political discussions can quickly escalate into heated debates, leaving many feeling frustrated or misunderstood. But what if we could engage in these conversations thoughtfully, with respect and empathy, while remaining true to our values and faith?
David French, New York Times columnist and Turner Family Distinguished Visiting Professor of Public Policy at Lipscomb University, and Editor in Chief of Christianity Today, Russell Moore will engage in conversation over how to keep your faith while talking about politics.
In addition, Attorney Fred D. Gray, one of the nation’s leading civil rights attorneys and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, plans to be in attendance and give remarks at the lecture.
A reception begins at 5 p.m. with the lecture following at 6 p.m. in the George Shinn Center. Admission is free, but registration is requested. Register here.
Other activities and events include Rule 31 civil mediation training and LJS senior research presentations.
