About us
The South Carolina Press Association serves to strengthen the Palmetto State's newspaper industry, enhance public understanding of the role of newspapers, and protect basic freedoms of press, speech and the free flow of information. Established in 1852, SCPA is one of the oldest Press Associations in the county and one of the oldest trade groups in South Carolina with more than 100 newspaper members. SCPA is invested in providing S.C. newspapers tons of services, including lobbying, legal/FOI guidance and representation, advertising representation, and conventions and workshops for members and publications.
