Congregational Events

  • oin us for Native Plant Planting Day in Highland Park on May 11 from 7-11 am. We need volunteers to help plant native flowers in the three medians on Highland Avenue–the one in front of Rojo and the two adjacent medians as you travel from Rojo toward IPC. The City of Birmingham will provide the plants, and Rojo will provide lunch for all volunteers.

  • Hope you will join the Lunch Bunch crew at Pita Stop in Cahaba Heights on Tuesday, May 28. This is a self-pay event but please register so we will have an accurate headcount.

  • The whole family is invited to join IPC Connect at they go to the theatre to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the Musical. Tickets are available for both adults ($60) and children($25). Meet us in VST Party Venue at 6:30 pm for a private cocktail social with heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks followed by the show at 7:30 pm. Tickets are limited so register now!

  • Please prayerfully consider what God is calling you to pledge to the ministry of Jesus Christ in and through IPC this year.

  • The latest expansion includes 256 additional niches with 192 double and 64 single niches. Purchase a niche for yourself or a loved one.

Children's Events

  • It takes many hands to transform our facilities for Vacation Bible School by bringing the great outdoors, indoors for "Camp Firelight"! Please consider volunteering for an available 2-hour slot.

  • oin us for 6th grade recognition during 11:00 worship in the Sanctuary on May 19, followed by a lunch with 6th grade families in the Garage of Highland Hall.

  • Enroll for the 2024-2025 school year at IPC's Day School. Fill out the online registration form to apply.

  • Registration begins March 11 for IPC Day School's APPLE Day Camp offered during the summer months over six separate weekly sessions.

Youth Events

  • Sign up for our 8:45 am and 11 am Sunday worship services for the spring season.

  • All acolytes for 2023-2024 are invited to take a trip to Six Flags in Atlanta, GA on Wednesday, May 29 from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm (drop off and pick up in IPC parking lot). The deadline to register for this event is Monday, May 20.

  • Completed 6th & 7th Graders are invited to join IPC at the Montreat Middle School Conference on July 17 - 21, 2022 at Maryville College in Maryville Tennessee.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Birmingham City children come to the farm each summer for six weeks of reading, writing, and mathematics in the mornings, as well as afternoons filled with art, music, drama, science, and swimming. We need your help, so please consider signing up to serve in one of the available areas.

  • Provide and serve dinner for the women and children staying at First Light each night the week June 23-29. Great activity for a family or group!

  • Assist the earth care team and bring the #5s to Community on the Rise during drop-off times (10:30 am - 1:30 pm). Please text Avery Rhodes (251-680-5619), Executive Director of Community on the Rise, prior to your delivery to let her know that you're coming and confirm that someone will be there to accept the delivery. The whole process takes about 45 minutes.

  • Help us to continue refilling our Blessing Boxes and Weekend Buddy Bags. Donations can be dropped off or sent via a delivery service Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm to IPC Community Ministries' entrance on 31st Street South, up from the covered walkway. You can sign up to bring items or consider making a monetary gift to assist IPC Food Ministiries.

  • Volunteers are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Kingston neighborhood, where a significant part of IPC's local community outreach is focused. Interested volunteers should sign up directly with Meals on Wheels.
