Advent at Home

Celebrating Advent This Year

Last year we stumbled into Advent Conspiracy as a way to gather together during this hectic season and focus on the joyous celebration of Christ’s birth. This year, we are excited to participate in Advent at Home in a time when our holiday traditions will look a bit different.

Our at-home Advent activities are designed to keep stress low, encourage family connection, and help you prepare for Christmas. We hope as the pandemic drags on, this Advent at Home will prepare you and your family for Christmas in a fun and meaningful way!

Four Advent-at-Home Activities

  • Reserve an Advent Wreath kit and assemble with your family to encourage and nurture faith practices at home. Limited quantities of our at-home Advent wreath kits are available.

  • During Advent, we focus on: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Follow along each week using your liturgy guide to light a candle on your wreath and join us in reading, wondering, sharing, praying, and singing.

  • A 25-day devotional incorporating prayers, journaling, coloring pages, and artist reflections. Best for older youth and adults, we encourage parents to join their children in coloring and talking about the art and scripture.

  • A fun alternative to the traditional Advent calendar. Choose any activity on the board, mark it off, and see how many you can complete before Christmas.
