On this edition of the show, we look back at the events of January 6, 2021 and how they shaped our democracy. First, in our Correspondent Close-Up, Clayton Neville reports on how those in Washington will be commemorating the attacks on the US Capitol one year ago today. Then, we'll talk with George Washington University's Denver Brunsman, an associate professor of history, to get his take on the historical significance of the attacks. Clayton Neville will rejoin us to offer a retrospective look on what happened on that day, and we'll hear from New Jersey Representative Mikie Sherrill, who was at the US Capitol as the attacks took place. We'll also talk about how democracy heals in the years following the insurrection with American historian and Harvard professor Alex Keyssar, who teaches a class at the Ivy League school on the January 6th riot.
