"Walmart Boy", AKA Mason Ramsey, has had a whirlwind of a week: he hit up The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed for her audience, shared some anecdotes about his “country boy” lifestyle, was awarded with a scholarship check and a chance to sing at the Grand Ole Opry, and generally made himself the darling of the internet. There’s even a Mason Ramsey Day at the Illinois Walmart location that he made famous!

Rumors quickly spread that Mason was possibly going to perform at Coachella over the weekend, considering he was in the Los Angeles area at the same time as the music festival. Well, guess what? He totally did, and while he didn’t sing with Beyoncé (yet, anyway), he did make the internet’s day when he sang a few bars of his trademark tune, “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams.

Mason hit the stage alongside DJ Whethan, who posted a pic of them onstage to his Instagram, writing that Mason was “supposed to be playing his school talent show but took him to Coachella instead.” Is it just us or do the two look like they could be related?

For those in the audience — and those who wished to be — everything came full circle after seeing Mason sing onstage. It’s really proof that the internet is powerful, and that a little meme or Twitter video can become the fulfillment of someone’s dream. We loved how Mason showed up in his signature Western style and performed for the massive crowd with pure confidence as if he’d been doing this all his life.

Oh, and one more small detail: Mason got to meet Justin Bieber who was attending the show. A fan snapped a video of them chatting, with Justin telling Mason he was going to “do big things.” The two even grabbed a selfie together. While Mason previously said his dream duet partner is Blake Shelton, we love the idea of an imaginary Justin collab. We have a feeling the aisles of Walmart won’t be quite enough for Mason anymore.
