2023 Watershed Forestry Summit - Breakout Presentation Proposal Form

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy are hosting the annual Watershed Forestry Summit on June 13-15, 2023! The Summit brings together over 300 restoration and conservation professionals, decision makers, and volunteers to share the latest information on forest buffers and lawn conversion practices, from implementation to outreach and more. Attendees come away inspired and empowered by the knowledge, connections, and stories shared at this conference. 

Key elements of the 2023 Watershed Forestry include:
- Optional field trip on June 13
- Breakout and keynote presentations on June 14 and 15
- Poster sessions
- Lunchtime roundtables
- Networking activities

The 2023 Summit will be held IN PERSON. There will be no virtual component of the event. The Watershed Forestry Summit's exact location is TBD, but will be somewhere in central Pennsylvania (likely in either Blair, Centre, Mifflin, Cumberland, Dauphin, Huntingdon, or other nearby counties). 

We are seeking proposals for 45-minute breakout sessions on June 14 and 15 at the 2023 Watershed Forestry Summit! We are looking for a suite of presentations that share innovations, address hot topics, celebrate diverse and inclusive efforts, and facilitate discussion and application. If you have a story or information to share, please complete this form to submit your session proposal. Breakout sessions will have access to microphone and speaker system, laptop, and projector and will be held in classroom-style conference rooms. Let us know if you need other accommodations in your proposal.

Your session proposal is due by 5 pm on February 17, 2023. The Planning Team will review all submitted proposals and let applicants know whether their proposal was accepted or not by mid-March 2023.
