Looking back on it now 10 years later, we felt it would be fitting to pull together some of our favorite unseen moments from the archives, pair them with a few new versions, and release an anniversary album that celebrates the life of these songs, what they’ve meant to us, and all that God has done and is continuing to do in and through them. Our hope for Zion has always been that it would empower people to know that God is with them, wherever they are. That they would catch the revelation that God wants to breathe His kingdom through us here on earth, and that is exemplified through what Jesus is about – mercy, love, forgiveness, generosity, justice – being how we are called to live our lives. And that, ultimately, we get the chance to be a part of building God’s kingdom here on Earth. For us as a group, whether it be from recording or writing these songs to playing them in front of people and all the production that goes with it, or whatever part we play, it’s all an expression of a really extraordinary God doing what only He can do through really ordinary people who love Him and want to serve Him. That’s our desire, and it’s been the one constant that hasn’t changed. We hope these songs, now in their various forms, are an encouragement for people everywhere. #HillsongUNITED #ZionX #WelcomeZion
Welcome Zion — When we recorded Zion we had no idea what we were stepping into, and it marked a huge new season for UNITED. “Are We There Yet?” explores the challenges, heartache, and magnificence of this life of faith, and the jaw-dropping, overwhelming wonder of the grace of God along the way.
In 2016, we released ‘Of Dirt and Grace,’ a re-imagination of the 12 songs from our album EMPIRES, plus a few bonus tracks recorded LIVE and on location in Israel – from Jerusalem up to Tiberius around the Sea of Galilee. The essence and inspiration of the album Empires were the beatitudes, and it was always an aspiration to film where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount - and to present the songs in a live format. The wildest aspect of the experience was that we hadn't pre-arranged any of the songs. We would literally turn up to a spot, and while our incredible technical team was scrambling to lay cables, set up mics and generators, and the recording equipment, we would be figuring out how we would play the songs. It was as raw and organic as the landscape around us, and the amazing thing was the pressure of it all somehow took all the striving out of it – we just played and let the moment, the spirit, and the landscape take over. With breathtaking imagery and impacting visuals and audio, this live project is one of our most unique and holds a special place in our hearts.

(in the meantime) is a “meanwhile” project, a collation of songs: some recovered from the archives, others found by the wayside, never having the time or space to be offered for your listening. Now that we are stuck on different parts of the planet and we’re working on something new, (in the meantime) here’s some gifts from us to you.
The latest official music, lyric, and live videos from Hillsong UNITED, including So Will I (100 Billion X), Oceans (Where Feet May Fail), Wonder, Touch The Sky, and more.
