A feel-good song about a teenage romance, Dustin Lynch’s new single, “Stars Like Confetti,” uses evocative lyrics to vividly paint the scene of a pair of young sweethearts’ date night in the back of a rusted Silverado Z71 parked on a dirt road. The couple is in love, and “a few beers shy of freedom” as they look up at the sky, where “Heaven's puttin' on a show” of shooting stars. As Lynch sings in the chorus, “I don't remember what the radio was playin’ / I was hangin' like the moon on all the words your lips were sayin' / All I know is there was magic in that Chevy / Baby, you were glowin', God was throwin' / Stars like confetti.” The couple knows they shouldn’t say it’s forever, but they “say it anyway.” Sweet! The 3:14 mid-tempo song has already been added to Apple Music’s “Country Risers” playlist. Written by Josh Thompson, Thomas Rhett and Zach Crowell, the single is included on Lynch’s fifth studio album, “Blue In The Sky,” released last February.

Priscilla Block

Mercury Nashville will release a deluxe version of Priscilla Block's 2022 "Welcome To The Block Party" album on February 10th. The set includes four additional songs, including "Me Pt. 2," for which Block recently released a lyric video. (Watch here.)

Block calls the track "hands down one of the most honest songs I’ve ever written. It was 2 o'clock in the morning -- just me, my guitar and a piece of paper. Sometimes it’s the simplest songs that hit the most and, for me, 'Me Pt. 2' is that. This past year was really big for me, especially releasing my debut album. When we were selecting songs for 'Welcome To The Block Party,' we had so many songs to choose from, which is why I’m super excited for the deluxe album. Four more songs that complete the Block Party era.”

Filmore

Curb Records artist FILMORE released his second LP, "Mean Something," on January 13th. It is comprised of 11 songs he released throughout 2022. The project includes the title track, as well as “Who Cares,” and his release from last summer, “USA (feat. Pitbull).” "Mean Something" is produced by Zach Abend, Jordan Schmidt and Sam Bergeson.

FILMORE made his label debut in 2020 with the release of "State I’m In." He has quickly amassed more than 236 million career streams. Prior to being signed, the Wildwood, MO native was the first independent artist to be featured on Spotify’s Hot Country cover.

On the heels of their viral hit, "Shoot Tequila," popping on TikTok, Monument Records' Tigirlily Gold visited Los Angeles last Thursday (1/12), where they caught up with KKGO (Go Country 105) PD Michael Levine.
