Every year at C2C Festival an artist or two who graces the spotlight stage inside the O2 Arena (between the main stage acts) goes on to return to C2C the following year or so as a main stage artist or to simply go on to have a massive career. We aren’t saying C2C are responsible for the artists success but they certainly know who is ‘up and coming’ and get ahead of the program.

We have seen this happen with the likes of Maren Morris, Sam Hunt, Ashley McBryde, Brett Young, Lukas Nelson, Russell Dickerson, Cam, Drake White, Jimmie Allen and more.

Like every year, all the artists on the Spotlight Stage were absolutely sensational but we do think that two in particular are going to be on the main stage or have a huge career by next C2C Festival.

Callista was one of if not the youngest acts to play at C2C this weekend but Callista has an old soul, a mature edge in her songwriting and a powerhouse voice. Callista played the BBC Radio 2 Stage as well as the Spotlight stage and both stages were packed with fans eager to see her.

Just her and her guitar, Callista shone on the spotlight stage filling the arena with her distinctive vocals and getting the crowd up and dancing to her songs in particular to It’s ‘Cause I Am. Callista was impressive with the audience as she made a shout out to the ladies in glittery outfits opposite her saying “hey we match” It’s always good to interact with the crowd.

Signed to Big Machine Records the home of many artists who play C2C, Her EP Real to Me has already created such a buzz amongst fans and artists that she will undoubtedly be going on multiple major tours supporting major artists. Big Machine also make a good habit of bringing their artists back here so we think she will definitely return as a main stage act next year or at the very least with her own tour.

The other act who we think will make the main stage next C2C and or will return with a headlining tour is Breland.

Breland has been a major highlight for so many this weekend. We have seen so many posts on social media about how amazing his shows were.

Breland was sublime on the Spotlight Stage with his guitarist Christian Crawford playing flawless performances of Cross Country, Praise The Lord and My Truck. Those performances sounded so amazing live as if they were already on the main stage.

Breland is an exceptional artist bringing something fresh to country music and his music will and does appeal to so many fans of different genres. A natural to the stage and an absolutely unbelievably good entertainer, Breland is destined for superstardom.

Breland has to return as soon as possible and we hope it will be for both a headline tour and a main stage C2C spot.
