Add to Calendar 2023-04-17 19:00:00 2023-04-18 20:30:00 TANGO! Tango is a mini-residency presented by three of the northern hemisphere's leading practitioners, led by choreographer Chelsea Eng, with support from tango masters Joe Powers and Count Glover. The 7 p.m. dance workshop on Monday requires no partner, just comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows freedom of movement and visibility of leg and footwork, low-heeled or flat shoes that stay securely on the feet and have thin, pliable soles that allow pivoting on a wood floor. Following the movement portion will be a showing of the award-winning Walk of Contrasts, a tango & LGBTQIA+ themed music video Eng co-directed in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall. A brief Q&A will follow. Then, join us on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a tango performance!
