A message from your Ski and Snowboard School Leadership Team |
What a great week! It has been wonderful to see how well we’ve welcomed a solid volume of guests, supported one another as a team, and enjoyed our time on the mountain together.
Now that we’re just past the midpoint of the season, it feels like the perfect moment to express my gratitude for the warm hospitality so many of you have shown me since I joined the Ski & Snowboard School at the start of the season. I’m inspired by the commitment, expertise, and joy you bring to the mountain every day. After seeing our operations running so smoothly this week, I’m even more proud to be part of this team.
Our second Employee Continuous Listening Survey of the season is open through Wednesday, February 25. I believe that feedback is a gift -- and hearing your insights is greatly important. What are we doing that feels good to you? What would you like to see us change, add, or stop doing? The survey is your opportunity to share that perspective.
Once the survey closes, I will personally read every (anonymous) comment. Our Ski & Snowboard School leadership team, along with our resort’s senior leadership team, will review the results to determine where action is needed. Our company also evaluates results across all resorts to identify opportunities for action. I’ve seen countless meaningful changes—both big and small—come directly from this process, and I would love for each of you to take a few minutes to participate. Thank you.
|
Warmly,
Robin Barnes
Senior Director of Skier Services
|

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Welcome to Beaver Creek sessions this season — both new hires and returning staff. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable in shaping a smoother, more supportive onboarding and preboarding experience.
| Based on what we heard from you, we’ve already taken action:
|
-
Created the Welcome to Beaver Creek sessions to ensure more opportunities for connection, learning, and early-season support
- Introduced new preboarding tasks to help streamline early setup and reduce first‑week chaos
-
Reimagined key onboarding steps based on your suggestions, making the process clearer, more intuitive, and easier to navigate
- Improved communication around required tasks and deadlines so you always know what to do — and when
|
We’re committed to making the start of each season easier, more informative, and more welcoming. Please continue sharing your insights through our Continuous Listening Surveys.
|
Your experience matters, and your feedback drives meaningful change.

Announcing The BEAVO Product Manager at Ski and Snowboard School at Beaver Creek- Brian Lux |
|
|
Brian has spent the majority of his professional career as a soccer coach and director in Colorado, Missouri and Alaska. After moving back to Colorado in 2024 he joined Beaver Creek as an adult and children's ski instructor before joining the supervisor team this past winter. The change from soccer to skiing has been a great adventure, and Brian is happy to share it with his wife Lauren and his 3 year old daughter Michaela (who has asked EVERY day to watch skiing on the Olympics). They are also expecting a new addition to the family in August so there will now be 2 little ski girls in the family!
