Prompting (PP)

Prompting is an effective practice to increase success and generalizability of target skills or behaviors for learners with ASD.

What Will I Learn?

The AFIRM model guides the learner through four lessons to facilitate:

  • Learning basic knowledge about prompting (PP).
  • Applying PP in activity based scenarios that promote real-world application.

The PP module will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. However, the module is broken into individual lessons to help guide your learning:

Lesson Time to Complete
A Case for PP 10 minutes
Lesson 1: Basics of PP 25 minutes
Lesson 2: Planning for PP 40 minutes
Lesson 3: Using PP 40 minutes
Lesson 4: Monitoring PP 30 minutes
Applying PP 10 minutes
