Everytown Domestic Violence Grant Program
About the Program
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, local and state domestic violence programs have been on the frontlines of dual public health crises. Supporting their work is essential to preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors. Through Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund’s Domestic Violence Grant Program, organizations across the country can access funding. These grants support activities related to addressing the intersection of domestic violence and gun violence. Past grantees have used the funding from Everytown to support operational costs, capacity-building training opportunities, salaries for staff and contractors, and more.
Support for those in Crisis
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233, available 24/7, for confidential assistance from a trained advocate. You can also find more resources on legal assistance in English and Spanish at WomensLaw.org.
Apply for a Grant
Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund will provide a one-time grant of up to $10,000 to local and state domestic violence organizations with a demonstrated track record of supporting victims of domestic violence in their community with a focus on Black, Indigenous, and people of color. Applicant organizations need to submit their information using the pre-screen form before September 1. Selections will be made quickly, and organizations that will move to the next round will be invited to submit a formal application, including documentation, by September 18.

“We’ve created a report on the intersection of gun violence and domestic violence in Asian American Pacific Islande (AAPI) communities, and we have hosted workshops, trainings, and discussions on the topic to elevate the issue and create collaborative responses.”
Delaware Tribe of Indians: Bartlesville, KS
“We are using the grant for a total overhaul of our website. We want to provide information to victims and to the community about domestic violence. We also want the webpage to be an initial contact point for victims who aren’t quite ready to call us or stop by our office.”
Voices Against Violence: Charles Town, WV
“Voices Against Violence will provide educational presentations to various groups in the community to prevent violence, and provide support to those who have suffered from it. Our region has a large Latinx population, and special emphasis is placed on ensuring greater access to services for this underserved community.”
