Limiting sugar during pregnancy and during a child’s first two years could prevent major health issues, according to a new study by researchers at USC Dornsife, UC Berkeley and McGill University. Research found a low-sugar diet during pregnancy and through toddlerhood can cut the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 35% and high blood pressure by 20%.
