A Bad Think is the rock brainchild of Grammy-nominated musician, Michael Marquart.
Marquart received a Grammy nomination in 2020 for his 5.1 surround sound album “The Savior,” in the Best Immersive Audio Album category. The double-album illustrates Marquart’s unique sound, which is both familiar and deeply experimental. The prolific singer-songwriter-producer mixes whiskey-bar vocals with poignant lyrics and ambient, three-dimensional audio production.
Marquart has always been a passionate and versatile musician, touring early on as a drummer for Grammy-winning band A Flock of Seagulls and then establishing Windmark Recording in Virginia Beach and later Los Angeles.
He has mixed and recorded many outstanding artists including No Doubt, The Connells, Abra Moore, Sponge, Buffalo Tom, Frente, Love Spit Love, Meat Puppets, Hudu Guru’s, Our Lady Peace, The Nixons, and Dishwalla.
His most recent album, Lifelike, was released in 2021.
