LAS VEGAS, Nev. - All-American offensive tackle Braxton Jones became the fourth player in Southern Utah University football history to hear his name called in the NFL draft on Saturday Afternoon.
Jones was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the draft with the 168th overall pick, making him the third-highest selection in SUU history.
Jones, a three-year starter for the Thunderbirds, was a two-time All-Big Sky First-Team selection and earned AP FCS All-American honors this past Fall.
He joins an elite club of Southern Utah draft selections, which includes Miles Killebrew (2016), Leshaun Sims (2016), and Brad Sorensen (2013).
