With the start of the fall semester upon us, here's helpful information about student services and resources to familiarize you with the wide variety of programs and services offered at the college.
All student services operate with the following hours:
First Week of Semester (August 22-25) Hours (In person & Remote)
T-F @ 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Regular Semester Hours (In person and Remote)
M-Th @ 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
F @ 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Remote only)
*The Welcome Center on the 1st floor of the Student Center is open on campus Fridays at 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

|  | Admissions and Records
Admissions and Records (A&R) is available on the 1st floor of the Student Center and via a Virtual Front Counter. The office maintains all academic records, evaluates transfer units, and carries out online registration processes. Contact the office for help with things like: name and address changes; admissions, certificate, and degree applications; petitions; residency requirements; and transcript requests.
| |  | Career Planning Center
The Career Planning Center (CPC) is now open in its new location in CCCPLX-215 near the EOPS office. The CPC helps you explore college majors and career pathways, develop your resume, and prepare for the workforce. Talk to a career counselor in person or online, or sign up for the (free) CPC Canvas Hub to easily access information, resources, and workshops.

Express Counseling
Express Counseling is available on the 2nd floor of the Student Center and through the Virtual Front Desk where you can meet with counselors face-to-face through video conferencing. This online platform provides access to all services available in an in-person counseling session.
Counselors are available for scheduled appointments weeks 3-14 of the semester (Sept. 5 - Nov. 22).

EOPS, CARE, CalWORKS, Guardian Scholars, and Grads To Be
EOPS assists students with economic, linguistic, and educational challenges (as defined by Title V). CARE assists single parents on public assistance; CalWORKS provides help to students on TANF; Guardian Scholars supports current and former foster youth; and Grads To Be provides help and resources to undocumented students.

Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office assists students with the financial aid application process and facilitates disbursements. Learn more about the various federal, state, and campus aid programs by consulting the financial aid question database or emailing the Financial Aid Office for assistance.

Food Pantry
The Food Pantry, located in the Student Life and Leadership Center, offers food distribution services throughout the semester. Distributions are every Wednesday at 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 2–4 p.m.

Health Center
The Health Center provides a number of services, including mental health counseling and telemedicine visits via the online Health Center Portal. It offers birth control consults, addresses minor urgent care issues, prescribes birth control and other medications as needed, and provides counseling for nicotine cessation as well as weight and nutrition.

Student Life and Leadership Center
The Student Life and Leadership Center is home to student life programs and clubs. Get involved in shared governance via Associated Students, the student government organization on campus that advocates on behalf of the Cypress College study body and coordinates campus events and activities.

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) provides assistance to active duty military, veterans, and their dependents seeking to complete a degree or certificate. It also provides opportunities for peer-to-peer support for academics and wellness as well as camaraderie, mentoring, and social networking.

Welcome Center
The Welcome Center is available on the 1st floor of the Student Center and is staffed with student ambassadors available to answer general questions, help you navigate myGateway and Canvas, assist with troubleshooting issues and concerns, and put you in touch with other individuals and offices for more specific questions and answers.

Cypress All-Access Passport:
Help with Textbook, Food, and Transportation Costs

The Cypress All-Access Passport is your ticket to three amazing programs that assist with the additional costs of pursuing higher education brought by textbooks, food, and transportation.
We understand that textbook, food, and transportation costs really add up, so Cypress College is launching a one-year pilot program to provide a Book Pass, Food Pass, and Bus Pass as part of the All-Access Passport to help alleviate the stress and worries that come with funding an education.

|  | The Charger Book Pass provides all your required textbook-related course materials for no more than $100 per semester. Once you register for any class, you're in the program!
If for some reason you decide you'd prefer not to use the Charger Book Pass or it simply does not make financial sense for your class situation, you may opt out of the program. More information is available on the Charger Book Pass web page below.
| |  | The Charger Food Pass provides all students with access to breakfast or lunch at the Charger Cafe Monday-Friday.
To start the semester, the program will operate in a similar manner to prior semesters with students receiving a single, pre-packaged grab-and-go meal EITHER for breakfast OR lunch (one meal per day). All students must present a current student ID to use this service.
Please note: This program will evolve as the semester continues and our technology expands.
| |  The Charger Bus Pass provides students with an unlimited-ride pass for OC Bus fixed local routes valid throughout the semester through the college's partnership with the OC Transit Authority.
Simply download the OC Bus app and create an account with your Cypress College preferred email address (the email address you receive official college communications at).
