Daniel Do (Galloway/Absegami) was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Division III Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Third Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Do boasts a perfect 4.0 grade point average with majors in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and Chemistry.
Do competes in cross country and track & field for Stockton. He became the 16th Stockton student-athlete to earn a CoSIDA Academic All-America honor and seventh to receive Academic All-America status in cross country/track & field, the last being
Jared Lewis in 2018.
In cross country, Do is a two-time NJAC First Team runner, finishing seventh at the NJAC Championships as a freshman in 2017 and fourth at the conference meet last fall. He has two career wins and 11 top-10 finishes in cross country. Do has been Stockton's top finisher in 15 of his 20 career races, including all seven meets in 2019.
During the 2019 cross country season, Do was chosen NJAC Runner of the Week and ECAC Metro Runner of the Month twice each. He finished in top 10 in five of the seven races, highlighted by a win at the Osprey Open.
Do holds two school records in track & field, the indoor 3000-meter run and the outdoor 5000-meter run. He has competed in the 5000m ten times and 3000m nine times during his track & field career. Do has qualified for the Atlantic Region Championships three times and registered one event win, which came at in the 3000m at the 2019 Stockton Invitational outdoor meet.
Do competed in one race during the 2019-20 indoor season and made the most of it by setting the school record in the 3000m (8:41.99). He was the top non-Division I runner in the race, finishing seventh out of 25, and he later was selected ECAC Metro Track Athlete of the Month for the performance.
For his outstanding work in the classroom, Do earned CoSIDA Academic All-District 2, USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual and Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar accolades during the 2019-20 academic year before capping the list with CoSIDA Academic All-America recognition.
