Open Farm Night:

March 21st, 2024 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Zenger Farm (11741 SE Foster Rd, Portland, OR 97266)

Join us for a night of learning and exploring at an urban farm! Open Farm Nights features seasonal activities, and food prepared with seasonal produce. We offer free produce or starts from the farm for you to take home when available.

The program is designed to be welcoming, fun, and educational to families and people of all ages. This event is loosely structured and mostly self-guided. Educators are on site to help facilitate activities. Participants are welcome to drop in throughout the evening. The final check-in is at 6:45 pm.

Activity of the Night:

Logistics/Accessibility

Please dress for the weather. Bring any snacks and water bottles you need. Bathrooms and a water bottle filling station are available.

The main building, bathrooms, food and activity area, and one of the gardens are wheelchair accessible (doorways 36”). The farm fields, wetland area, and children’s garden are not accessible by wheelchair, as they are on a hill and pathways are unpaved. We strive to make our programming accessible to people with disabilities. Please reach out with other questions about access and accommodations.

Registration

Registering ahead of time helps us prepare materials and food for the right amount of people. We understand that this can be a barrier, and welcome day-of registrations and drop-ins.

**Please order one ticket per group**

Sliding Scale: This event is made possible through our sliding scale or "pay as you can" model. Please pay what you are able to while registering. The suggested scale is $5-$100 per family or small group. Priority will be given to BIPOC and David Douglas School District families for slots at the lower end of the scale. If you are registering as an individual, feel free to slide down on the scale. If you are coming as a larger group of 5+, consider paying up on the scale. If you are an organized school, non-profit, or organizational group, please register here.

You can read our sliding-scale philosophy and explanation here.
